picnicking at the national cathedral.

Spent a beautiful afternoon with our BFF's the Cherrys. We drove down to the national cathedral.  Turns out it had just closed.  So, we let the kids run through their sprinklers. ha! (which led to Oliver's special pants in the next shot:)
 secret passages...

"but this one.  this one right here.  it didn't come true.  so I'm taking it back"

Serena made the most delicious cast iron bread in the whole united world of america universe.  And you better believe she brought the FANCY fresh butter from her weekly FRESHLY DELIVERED dairy.

I brought my mother's incredible fig clementine jam over goat cheese with walnuts, dried cranberries and stone ground crackers.

"Awwwhhh... look at the little red head"
(I seriously get this wherever I take the poor kid)
favorite picture of the day:

Kind of a perfect little outing.
We went back and hung out at their darling house and I asked serena the name of the paint in her dining room, I loved it so.  I went out two days later,
bought it and painted up our dining room.  That Serena knows what she is doing.
Mindful Gray.  Sherwin Williams.
That is one heck of a pretty shade of gray if you are looking for that sort of thing.(you can see a bit of it in the previous post)

You are too nice, my friend!!! That was the best picnic! I love that fig jam and plan to go and pick some figs so we can make it really soon. I am glad that mindless...I mean mindFUL gray worked out. Your house is so lovely! You are the one who knows what she is doing my dear. You are always an inspiration! Plus that little red head is one day going to be my son-in-law and I think he looks pretty darn cute!
