Darth Vader and the Real Trooper

My boys are obsessed with costumes and pretending to be things they are not.  They ask me to help them make costumes so frequently that we finally had to create a costume day this past winter.  Every Monday was costume day.  On this particular Monday a couple months ago the boys were Darth Vader and Storm Trooper.  Storm Trooper mask courtesy of Uncle Travis about three Christmases ago, Darth mask courtesy of a 3-minute sew-and-cut-up-some-scrappy-black-polyester-job.

During the big move/transition last summer and fall, Max desperately missed his storm trooper mask which ended up in some random box, not alongside the storm-jumpsuit.  He begged and begged for me to find it, which I did, months later.  Until that day though, someone else was  making do with something he found in the gift bag box.

And I promise this wasn't a quick-put-this-on-it-will-be-funny.  This was Oliver playing without seeing where he was going for like three days straight.  Now you tell me who is the real trooper.

Oliver is such a cute trooper. I can just see him now, tilting his head back so he could see where he was going. Such a cute story.
miss you all. Give all the boys a hug and squeeze for me.

What a charming set of boys you have. I can't wait untill they are in high school. They will be the toast of all men everywhere.

What a wonderful sight!! Thanks for sharing.
