Loyalty

One day Max got mad at me.  He stormed up into his room and hid himself behind his clothes in his closet.  Completely oblivious to the situation, but very determined, Oliver decided he was mad too.  He grabbed his blanket and laid in front of Max, who was still hiding behind the hanging 3T-5T.

I went in to check on them and neither of them would talk to me.  Oliver laid guardian, sucking his thumb in front of Max who was still giving me the silent treatment. (I don't even remember what I did).

I left them, went about my business and after another quiet 15 minutes passed I heard footsteps.  Max.  Ready to talk to me.  We talked, hugged and made up. Then I asked him about his brother.

He told me to go look and see.

This is what I found:

The loyal little guardian, fast asleep.

If you ask either of them who their best friend is, they will say each other.  Sometimes it's hard to believe through Oliver's screeching and stubbornness and Max's teasing and big-brother-ness ----but I have always felt like through all of the muck, there is something special there. Even if that special something is teaming up to give their mother the silent treatment. :)

That is great! I hope my boys are as loyal to each other and are best friends after all the screaming and hitting is out grown.
