And then he eats the WHOLE darned thing and still, yes, still, he eats his dinner.
When Fance and I were first married I was amazed at how much he ate. Seriously you just ate two HUGE platefuls of spaghetti???? and a big salad and three pieces of bread? Oh yes, I had brothers. But my brothers were inches below the 6 foot mark and the spaghetti on their plates showed it. My Fancypants could put away some serious spaghetti. And still can, considering he won the spaghetti eating contest at the church Boy Scout fundraising Spaghetti Dinner last fall. Out-ate his dad, a missionary, another dad and one of the young men.
Makes a wife proud, it does.
My husband is 6'4". His brother, 6'8". Have you seen them standing next to each other? A sight to behold, that is for sure. They are some good looking brothers I will tell you that much, (but perhaps you know). Where do you think they got those huge muscles? Plates and plates of spaghetti my friends, and some rather fortunate Scandinavian genes.
As I see Swabby out-eat his brother in most cases, and out eat me quite frequently, I have come to the conclusion that big boys just have to eat a lot. And although I can still feel my eyes widen after Oliver has eaten a whole banana, four whole wheat pancakes and a large cup of milk and is still wanting more, I am beginning to adjust to the fact that I am in for a long life of pounds of spaghetti and stacks upon stacks of pancakes.
Just somebody please continue to remind me that I am only 5'7" and don't have to keep up.

I love this post! I learned many years ago that I cannot join Chris in his nightly bowl of ice cream or oreo's! My body does not work like these boys! I love that Oliver is a big eater! I love this picture of him with the giant deli roll! I wish Oliver would rub off on his cousin Dean! Oh and...they are some good looking brothers aren't they (not to mention they love their tiffany's)!
Girl, Proximo is the same way. You ate two pieces of salmon, all of your noodles, your green beans, and you still want yogurt, bread, an apple, and half an orange?
Hahaha!!
Funny stuff.
Ben can actually put down TONS of food. He doesn't look like it though! :) That was one of the things that made me fall inlove with him! Seriously.
But I need to be reminded to not keep up, too. I always try to make sure things are even. Why? I have no clue.
Oliver can chew on that deli roll the size of his head and I will chew on him. That is the cutest picture of my little guy. love him. miss him.

hilarious! I can just see him looking up at you with crumbs all over his face, his eyes glistening, and grunting for more food with that open mouth smile and a side ways head tilt as he squeels.
Whenever people asked how we got so tall or whatever, often the reason given was that we were forced to finish all of our monstrous salad portions.
I LOVE kids with big appetites. It makes me so happy to see them eat. Unfortunately, neither of my girls is a fan of eating. And I guess it is a result of their 5' 2" mom. Hmm. By the way, I LOVE the picture of the boys on your top banner. So cute.
He is just the cutest kid around (well at least the cutest boy under the age of 18 months). My entire family LOVES him!
Hi guys! I loved catching up on you. This post was so funny.
I remeber babysitting for a family with 4 big boys when I was young. I cooked a frozen pizza for dinner. I was cutting it up and they asked where the other 3 pizza's were. I was shocked. :)
Your boys are so cute!
that's so funny. i'm also amazed at how much little tykes can eat, like my girls for instance. where does it all go? why do we all have to eat so much food for energy anyway? whew-well, love your posts. entertaining. what movie did you watch with the girls?
